    In this Workshop you will learn from the following topics:

  • Louisa Johnston, Naturopath and Business developer - moved from the Arts into Clinical Aromatherapy & Massage in 1991. She trained in Scotland where she was also involved with the development of New Complementary Health Centres. She then migrated to Sydney Australia where she spent 10 years working in Complementary Health, taking a BA in Health Science (Naturopathy). She worked in Private Sector Practice and Public Health, mainly with Aboriginal Primary HealthCare. On her return to UK in 2001 she set up clinics in Bristol and Bath, working alongside Neal’s Yard Remedies. In 2003 she headed up Tonic Health Scotland Ltd, one of Edinburgh’s leading Complementary Health Centres which is now in its third year.

    and build a thriving business
  • Annie Gray graduated from the Northern College of Homeopathic Medicine in 1990, and was accepted for registration with the Society of Homeopaths in 1992. She studied under the renowned Homeopath and Ayurvedic practitioner, Pritam Singh Ghattaorya. In 1996, she founded the New Life Natural Health Care Trust, whose aim was to make complementary therapies available to unprivileged groups. Annie was directly responsible for securing in excess of £500,000 in grant aid. This income supported the work of 27 qualified therapists and 30 volunteers. She established successful practices in the North East and Cumbria and is currently working with Eden Mind, the mental health charity, to develop complementary health opportunities.
    Workshop Five (How do we get from Desperate to a Successful Practice?) Amy Roberts

    This workshop will investigate your practice problems and help find the solutions that will move you into the fast lane, showing you excellent systems that will free you up to do what you enjoy most - the clients and hands on work.

     


    Amy has a vast range of experience but most importantly in ‘business management for complementary care’. Her workshop will provide a unique and pioneering insight that this line of career has craved for.

    Amy graduated from the Southern School of Natural Therapies in 1994. She learnt a variety of techniques such as Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Bowen Technique, plus much more. Amy has employed 10 staff, involved in clinic work for thousands of clients. She has helped many hundreds of therapists around the world to have a successful business using the methods she has developed in advertising, marketing and management.

    Amy has written two books and writes for the AMTA e-zine, NAMASTA, Florida State Massage Therapy Association, the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists and many others. Amy runs courses in creating, establishing and maintaining a successful massage therapy
