Have you ever considered a change of career, re-training or adding skills to an existing vocation ?

Physically

If you are serious about sport,
Bowen is a vital resource which covers:

• Enhanced Sports Performance

• Injury Prevention

• Sports injury management and Rehabilitation

• Biomechanics: Body balancing

• Improved speed, agility, flexibility, strength and endurance

• Reduction in muscle pain and fatigue, post performance

Mentally

• Reduction in Pre-performance anxiety

• Enhanced concentration
during competition

• Enhanced confidence and ability to perform to full potential

Case History - Hamstrings

The pull and pain in my left groin and hamstring left me scared of chasing a ball or making a tackle. I was dropped from the team and spent four months trying to regain my position, Bowen spent four sessions addressing muscle balance from the waist to ankles.
The change was obvious & six weeks of recovery and training, now competing, no discomfort. Thank you.

Alex Davies (Sheffield United)

How does Bowen work for sport ?

This is a soft tissue therapy working on muscles, ligaments, tendons and connective tissue.

The release experienced in the muscle bed allows the muscle to relax, gain length and be able to receive adequate blood supply and essential oxygen. Sports performers are often unbalanced. Single muscles can seize creating wider problems in the groups that surround them. This will directly affect the range of movement, create restriction and

often pain. Acute injuries need to be addressed to make sure the body does not compensate for the damage

and develop other difficulties, Chronic injuries (those of more than six weeks duration) have layers of restriction which need to be unravelled to expose the root cause. Initial treatment requires only three or four clinic sessions with management sessions recommended over three months. The technique works closely in conjunction with physiotherapists, podiatrists and fitness experts to gain optimum performance and injury prevention.
Try apple cider vinegar when you have a strain or sprain.
A brilliant therapy straight from your supermarket shelf!!
This looks crazy but works unbelievably well and more effectively than ICE therapy which can only be applied for ten minutes at a time. I have used this with National Sports Players with great results.

Apple Cider Vinegar acts as an astringent, it draws swelling and fluid away from the injury site. The normal treatment for an acute injury would be RICE. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, Although in principal we would have no objection to three of these, the application of ICE can often be counter-productive.

Among several reasons, ice can only be applied for a short time to avoid damaging skin, where as cider vinegar can be applied for extensive periods, keeping the healing properties going.

It can be used effectively on the following:

• Sprains or twists

• Soft tissue trauma such as,
bruising, inflammation, soreness and areas of redness or heat application.

Soak a flannel or piece of cloth in neat vinegar. (Can be diluted for sensitive skin.) Apply directly to area and wrap lightly in cling film to retain moisture.

Frequency
Frequency Up to 2 hours. A one hour break and repeat. Obviously extensive bruising should seek medical advice.

Ensure to patch test in case of irritation and cover cuts and grazes with vaseline or a non-petroleum jelly.
